CINCINNATI, OH — June 26th, 2011 — netTrekker, a leader in delivering digital K-12 educational content in context to individualize curriculum, has partnered with Learnetic, an internationally renowned software and e-learning provider, to offer interactive middle school math and science lesson content to U.S. schools and educators. When the integration is completed later this year, schools and districts will be able to add Learnetic’s digital math and science collection to their netTrekker subscription for single sign-on access to a robust library of engaging curriculum content and support tools for personalized learning. With this integration, educators will have access to a comprehensive set of science or math activities that can be used for a variety of instructional needs, including pre-assessing student readiness, reinforcing concepts taught, re-teaching concepts students are struggling with, catch up assignments for absent students, or review and extension work.
Learnetic Math and Science is a full collection of over 200 digital math and science lessons covering all the key national standards for middle school. Originally developed by European teachers, and used successfully in more than 25 countries, Learnetic Math and Science content has been carefully aligned to meet the needs of American students and classrooms by an experienced team of U.S. educational experts. Learnetic Math and Science lessons come in two formats: materials specifically designed for teachers to use on interactive whiteboards and self-paced lessons for students’ independent study. The material can either be used as a stand-alone digital curriculum or as a supplement to other classroom resources. While Learnetic Math and Science lessons are interactive, compelling, and fun, their key objective is to build mathematical understanding and scientific knowledge in small steps with ample built-in feedback.
"Learnetic is delighted to partner with netTrekker in bringing this first wave of our math and science curriculum to U.S. teachers," said Artur Dyro, CEO of Learnetic. "Already used in multiple countries across the globe, our digital curriculum builds on the heritage of European excellence in math and science teaching, while being localized to meet the specific needs and standards of U.S. teachers. We are looking forward to working with our partners at netTrekker to enrich math and science teaching in U.S. middle schools."
