Leading content search tool, netTrekker, now aligned to English curriculum — stand SW7
Creators of netTrekker continue expansion into UK schools

New to BETT 2010 is the US leading educational search tool, netTrekker. The cross curricular content tool is now aligned to the English curriculum. Students and teachers can now find safe, educator-selected digital resources in netTrekker that are tightly aligned to Government recommendations.

netTrekker's digital resources, designed to help every student achieve his or her potential, will be on show on the TEEM Software Information Point, stand SW7 in the National Hall Gallery. Visitors to the stand will see how netTrekker offers fast and easy access to more than 300,000 digital resources with thousands recently added specifically for the English curriculum. netTrekker's new UK specific site address’ curriculum needs and helps facilitate lesson planning. Using netTrekker, teachers can provide a truly personalised approach to learning by easily finding appropriate supporting resources that match individual student learning needs.

Unlike many other content tools, netTrekker includes customised content for students new to English and features and tools to support students with special educational needs.

The search tool easily guides students to resources in multiple languages, and the 'define' and 'translate' functionality ensures learners can define or translate any word on a website with a simple click to ensure they understand what they are reading. netTrekker's 'read aloud' feature automatically reads highlighted text out loud for additional audio support and reinforcement. It is perfect for special needs learners or students reading below their expected level of attainment.
